Cooperation Festival: a celebration of local food, music + community
View this email in your browser

The farm is beautiful. The musicians are awesome. The food will be incredible.
MSNRA
MSNRA was formed in the ciphers and guerrilla-recording sessions of Gainesville’s hip-hop scene. They are steeped in the vibrant Hip-Hop tradition with production that reflects the lush colorful landscape that surrounds them.  Influenced greatly by the experimental nature of the North Florida musical community, their music is wholly original and uniquely Floridian.  MSNRA draws on elements of various electronic, indie, and world music to create their brand of hip-hop.
HOLOPAW
Holopaw is a long-loved independent rock band from Gainesville, FL. In addition to Paw, frontman John Orth has also performed alongside Modest Mouse’s Isaac Brock as Ugly Casanova. After a set of releases on Sub Pop, and one with Bakery Outlet, the band has signed on with Misra for its finest album to date. The “Golden Sparklers” b/w “Yearling’s Darlings” 7″ saw release in late 2012. Holopaw issued the unparalleled Academy Songs, Volume I. in January of 2013.
EUGLOSSINE

Euglossine is the solo musical effort of multi-instrumentalist and composer Tristan Whitehill. With this project, Tristan offers an exotic foray of electronic “tropicalia” that exemplifies his diverse taste and dips the listener into a beautiful world composed of lush naturalism and dynamic synthetic sound. Euglossine likens his sound to glistening 70′d funk, classic “new age”, imaginary environmental fantasies, and Canterbury scene progressive rock all filtered through the lenses of disco, drum and bass, futuristic hip hop, house, and ambient jazz. In addition to Euglossine, Tristan is a producer and collaborator with label mates MSRNA, Orchal and Vir, and Pospulenn. His new s/t record is set to be released on Elestial Sound records in 2013.

PATRICK KOCH
NOOK & CRANNY

Hailing from Gainesville, this female-fronted quintet’s repertoire has been variously described as everything from “sinister porch folk” to “bohemian hillbilly”. Subjective nomenclature aside, the band’s music artfully balances technical ability with a laudable focus on songcraft, paying homage to tradition while simultaneously pushing boundaries. “They’re a beautiful bottomless tumbler of a band that never lets its drunk get sloppy,” quote Nine Bullets. – Mark Warren, Marketing & Advertising Manager at Skipper’s Smokehouse

CAPTIVE EDDIES
THE IMPROPER CONTRABAND

Their menu will highlight fresh fall harvest vegetables grown at the farm and organic ingredients from the co-op. Our newest worker-owner, Sylvia, plans to undertake the project and from what we’ve seen of her menu so far, it’s sure to be a hit!
